Kazma looks to revive Gulf Champions League hopes against Erbil

BAGHDAD, Nov 1: Kazma began training in Iraq as it prepares to face Erbil on Wednesday in the third round of Group C in the Gulf Champions League.

The Orange sits at the bottom of the group without a point, while UAE side Ajman leads with six points. Erbil and Saudi Arabia’s Ettifaq are joint second on three points each.

Kazma is targeting its first win of the campaign and keeping its quarterfinal hopes alive ahead of the return-leg matches.

Its chances of progressing remain intact, with the competition format allowing the top two teams from each of the three groups, along with the two best third-placed sides, to reach the quarterfinals.
