Kazma players take a time out.

JEDDAH, Oct 26: Kazma Basketball hosts Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad today at 7:00 p.m. at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex Basketball Hall in a crucial Group A matchup of the West Asia Basketball Super League (Gulf region).

Both teams come into the game on winning streaks — Kazma defeated Bahrain’s Muharraq 95-81, while Al-Ittihad edged Shabab Al-Ahli of the UAE 94-88 in the opening round. With two points each at the top of Group A, separated only by point difference, this match promises to be a high-stakes battle for early supremacy.

Returning to the Super League after sitting out last season (with Qadsia taking their place), Kazma seeks a second consecutive victory to solidify its semifinal hopes. Coach Bojan Lazic will lean on experienced players, including Ahmed Al-Blooshi, Abdulrahman Al-Sahoo, Hussein Al-Khabaz, Abdullah Ibrahim, Abdulaziz Al-Fadhli, alongside imports Phil Greene, Jagwan Johnson, and Strahinja Mikovic, supported by youth trio Hamad Al-Ali, Khalifa Al-Omani, and Youssef Al-Blooshi.

Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad aims to maintain its strong away form and continue its winning momentum outside home territory.
