KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: The fifth round of the second division national basketball league will feature two key matchups at Union Hall, Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex.
The first game, scheduled for 5:00 PM, pits Kazma against Al-Nasr. Third-placed Kazma (19 points) will be looking to move past its early exit from the Asian Super League by asserting dominance over Al-Nasr (14 points). Kazma won convincingly in the first round, 110-47, and will aim to secure a semifinal spot. For Al-Nasr, the game is largely symbolic, as it is already out of contention for the playoffs.
The second game, at 7:30 PM, features league leader and defending champion Kuwait Club (22 points) against Al-Qurain (18 points). Al-Qurain is in close contention for the fourth semifinal spot alongside Kuwait Club, Al-Qadisiya, and Kazma. However, the defending champion is heavily favored, with a roster packed with top talent. Kuwait Club defeated Al-Qurain 122-101 in their first-round meeting and will aim to repeat that performance.
