LONDON, Nov 22, (Agencies): Kate Middleton dazzled in a historic headpiece during a glamorous event on Tuesday night. The Duchess of Cambridge, alongside her husband Prince William, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and other royal family members, attended a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in honor of the President of the Republic of Korea and his wife.

The 41-year-old royal graced the white tie affair in the Queen Mother’s Strathmore Rose Tiara, making her only the second person to don this elegant piece in public after decades. The tiara, named after the Queen Mother’s father, the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, was a wedding gift presented to her upon her marriage to Prince Albert, the future King George VI.

The tiara’s delicate design features larger flowers and offers versatility in wearing options – it can adorn the top of the head or be positioned around the bottom of the forehead, a preference favored by the Queen Mother. Notably, the tiara can also be disassembled and worn as separate pieces, doubling as a brooch.

Paired with a floor-length white dress by Jenny Packham adorned with gold embellishments and structured shoulders, Kate’s ensemble was a vision of regal sophistication. Further paying homage to Queen Elizabeth II, Kate accessorized with a pair of earrings that belonged to the monarch.

This appearance not only showcased Kate’s impeccable style but also highlighted the rich history and versatility of the Queen Mother’s Strathmore Rose Tiara, a symbol of elegance and tradition in the royal collection.
