KASCO joins hands with Kuwaiti farmers to boost local supply
KASCO Acting CEO Abdulrahman Al-Kandari meets with the Kuwaiti Farmers Union to discuss cooperation on sourcing local produce.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14:  Acting CEO of Kuwait Aviation Services Company (KASCO), Abdulrahman Al-Kandari, on Wednesday affirmed the company’s readiness to begin cooperating with Kuwaiti farmers to supply local products according to the company’s requirements.

Al-Kandari made the remarks following a meeting with the Kuwaiti Farmers Union, stating that cooperation will start as soon as possible, with a supply mechanism being established and health requirements for the products strictly observed. The initiative follows directives from KASCO’s Chairman of the Board, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shabib, and board members.

“This step comes within the framework of relying on local produce and strengthening the role of the Farmers Union, in line with the country’s leadership directives to support Kuwaiti suppliers and national products,” Al-Kandari said. He added that the partnership will help achieve food sustainability, enhance service quality, and reflect KASCO’s confidence in the quality of Kuwaiti produce.

Al-Kandari emphasized that KASCO will provide technical support and ongoing coordination with farmers to ensure smooth and continuous supply and expressed the company’s commitment to building long-term strategic partnerships with local suppliers to serve the public interest and support the national economy.

Ahmed Al-Adwani, head of the interim committee managing the Kuwaiti Farmers Union, said the union will work to provide all required products at competitive prices daily. He added that the union will guide its members and farm owners to meet KASCO’s supply requirements. Al-Adwani thanked KASCO for its initiative and continued support of Kuwaiti farmers.

The meeting, held at KASCO’s headquarters, was attended by members of the Farmers Union board, including Obaid Al-Nafishan and Ahmed Al-Shabak, as well as several KASCO officials.
