Kaifan’s Unique Protest: Manhole Covers Painted in Israeli Flag Hues

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: In a show of solidarity with the Palestinian population facing extreme aggression and oppression in Gaza, some members of the Kaifan area community have painted sewage manhole covers in the colors of the Israeli national flag as a symbol of denunciation and condemnation for a flag that symbolizes oppression.
Bou Khalifa, a resident of Plot 1 in Kaifan, explained that this act represents the minimal way in which Kaifan can show solidarity. It is reminiscent of the resilience of the Kuwaiti people during the brutal Iraqi invasion. Today, it stands in unity with the Palestinian population facing extreme aggression and oppression in Gaza.
