Kuwait Cricket’s national squad listens in as the newly appointed high-performance leadership addresses players during a training session in Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: Kuwait Cricket is pleased to welcome Kabir Khan, who has officially arrived in Kuwait to assume his role as General Manager – High Performance & Technical.

A former Pakistan international Test and ODI cricketer, Kabir Khan, brings with him extensive global coaching and leadership experience. He has successfully guided national teams such as Afghanistan and the UAE to ICC World Cups, and more recently has been closely involved in the development of emerging cricket nations, including Saudi Arabia.

Widely respected for building competitive high-performance structures and driving long-term player development, Kabir Khan’s appointment represents a significant milestone in Kuwait Cricket’s long-term strategic vision.

In his role, Kabir Khan will:

• Lead the national team coaching operations

• Oversee high-performance pathways

• Drive talent identification and development

• Establish unified technical frameworks across men’s, women’s, and junior programs

His arrival signals a renewed focus on performance excellence, sustainability, and structured growth, as Kuwait Cricket looks to further strengthen its presence on the international stage under his experienced and progressive leadership.
