KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: The Ministry of Justice has been recognized at the second "Sahel" Forum for its efforts in advancing digital government services, Acting Undersecretary Awatif Al-Sanad said Saturday.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Sanad said the recognition reflects the Ministry's commitment to supporting Kuwait's digital transformation, aligning with the state’s vision of simplifying procedures and enhancing the efficiency of government services.

She expressed pride in the award, noting it acknowledges the Ministry’s ongoing work to develop digital services and improve the quality of government services provided to citizens and residents. “This recognition is the fruit of collaborative efforts among work teams and reflects our commitment to supporting the digital transformation process,” Al-Sanad said.

The Acting Undersecretary highlighted the continued development of new services through the "Sahel" application, ensuring user convenience and delivering effective digital solutions in line with the smart government initiative. She added that recent amendments to the Electronic Transactions Law and the Notarization Law will accelerate the completion of digital projects, keeping pace with efforts to improve government services and transactions.

Al-Sanad also expressed gratitude to the Minister of State for Communications, Omar Al-Omar, for his support of digital transformation initiatives, and to the Sahl team for their contributions in developing the platform and integrating digital government services.

The forum, organized last Wednesday by the Executive Committee for the Unified Government Application for Electronic Services (Sahl) and Sahl Business, honored the Ministry of Justice for its achievements in completing the "Newborn Journey" and "Home Document Issuance Journey" through the Sahl platform, as well as its active role in supporting and developing the application’s services within Kuwait’s digital transformation journey.
