LOS ANGELES, Dec 5, (Agencies): Julia Roberts, 56, and Mahershala Ali, 49, recently discussed their latest film, "Leave the World Behind," and delved into their family dynamics. During the conversation, the topic shifted to Roberts' approach to managing technology use in her household, especially with her older children.

"We've kept things simple at home with a charging station where everyone's phones gather upon arrival, and a strict no-phones-at-the-table policy," shared Roberts. Despite her 19-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, being in college, and 16-year-old son Henry soon joining them, Roberts emphasized that her parenting style remains consistent.

"I parent them outside the house the same way I did inside – checking in on their well-being, reminding them to get enough sleep, and making sure they're taking care of themselves," explained Roberts. She expressed gratitude that her older kids still welcome her maternal involvement without any eye-rolling, highlighting a profound level of understanding between them.

As the conversation turned to the challenges of being away for work, Ali inquired about the difference between Roberts leaving for work and her children leaving for college. Roberts acknowledged the unique discomfort of being apart but also shared a heartwarming moment of connection.

"Right now, I'm away, and Henry and Danny are home, while Phinn and Hazel are elsewhere. Despite the distances, we had a delightful FaceTime call recently – all of us together. It was such a joyful moment that I might have had a towel on my wet head. We remain deeply connected and in love, despite the physical separation," Roberts revealed.

Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, share three children – a family dynamic that thrives on love and understanding, even across time zones and busy schedules.
