AMMAN, July 30: Jordanian air defenses intercepted and shot down five missiles launched from Iran that targeted the Kingdom’s territory early Thursday, the Jordanian Armed Forces said.
The official spokesman for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army said the missiles were detected and intercepted in accordance with pre-established defense plans.
He said the interception operations were carried out efficiently and professionally, preventing the missiles from hitting their intended targets. No casualties were reported.
The spokesman added that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain at the highest level of readiness to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and safeguard its security and sovereignty against any threats targeting the country or its citizens.
