AMMAN, Jul 23: Jordan’s armed forces intercepted four Iranian missiles and six drones on Thursday, according to the official Petra news agency.
The report did not provide further details on the locations of the interceptions, the type of weapons involved, or whether any damage or casualties were recorded.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with several countries increasing air defence measures following a rise in missile and drone activity across the region.
Jordan has previously said it will take action to protect its airspace and national security from any threats, regardless of the source.
