AMMAN, July 14: Jordan's armed forces said Tuesday that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed four missiles launched from Iran after they entered the kingdom's airspace early in the morning.
An official military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said the missiles were successfully neutralized after breaching Jordanian airspace.
The military confirmed that the incident caused no casualties or material damage.
The interception comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Jordan maintaining that its armed forces remain prepared to defend the country's airspace and safeguard national security. According to the official Petra news agency, the missiles were intercepted by Jordan's national air defense systems.
