LOS ANGELES, Jan 14, (Agencies): Jonathan Majors faces continued repercussions following his recent guilty verdict, leading to his removal from the role of Dennis Rodman in the film "48 Hours in Vegas." The 34-year-old actor, currently entangled in legal troubles, will no longer be part of the Lionsgate project, which has been returned to its producers for alternative arrangements.
Despite Majors' departure, the Rodman project is set to proceed, but the casting will now undergo changes. Previously selected to portray the NBA legend, Majors was supposed to feature in a film that delves into Rodman's notorious trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals.
This marks the latest setback for Majors, who has faced professional exclusion in the aftermath of his legal woes. His guilty verdict, stemming from a lengthy legal battle, was handed down last month. The charges of assault and harassment were connected to a March 25 incident in New York City. Authorities alleged that Majors engaged in physical altercation, including striking, shoving, and kicking, leading to injuries for both the involved individual and a family and household member—identified as his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
