MINNESOTA, Sept 17: A Minnesota woman arrested on a theft charge has gone viral on social media — not just because of the alleged crime, but because users say she bears a striking resemblance to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

Sirena Ann Quast, 35, was arrested on Aug. 30 in Monticello, Minnesota, after allegedly stealing two packs of power-tool batteries valued at about $580, according to a criminal complaint cited by The Watch MN.

A store employee reportedly recognized Quast from an earlier theft and alerted police. According to arrest records, Quast admitted to taking the batteries and was arrested on a theft charge.

But it was her post-arrest photograph that sent social media reactions into overdrive, with users comparing her appearance to the 57-year-old Lopez.

“For a moment, I thought it was JLo,” one user wrote, while another commented that the resemblance was “unbelievable.”

Others turned the comparison into jokes referencing Lopez’s 2002 hit “Jenny from the Block.” One social media user quipped that she was known in prison as “Jenny from the D-Block.”

Quast was released on Aug. 31, a day after her arrest, according to the Daily Mail.

The viral reaction focused largely on the unexpected celebrity resemblance rather than the alleged theft itself.
