LOS ANGELES, Nov 16, (Agencies): Jimmy Kimmel is set to make a triumphant return to the Oscars stage! The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Wednesday that the beloved late-night host will be steering the ship for the 96th Academy Awards next year. This marks Kimmel’s fourth stint as the master of ceremonies.

Adding to the familial flair of the production, Molly McNearney, Kimmel’s wife and co-head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live, will take on the role of executive producer for the telecast.

“I’ve always had this dream of hosting the Oscars exactly four times,” Kimmel quipped, while McNearney expressed her honor in being part of the Oscars team during a time when everyone is eager to reunite and get back to work.

Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang echoed the excitement about Kimmel’s return, praising his and McNearney’s shared passion for movies and their dedication to crafting a captivating and entertaining show for a global audience.

The show’s creative lineup includes Raj Kapoor as the showrunner and executive producer, along with Katy Mullan as an executive producer. Hamish Hamilton, in his fourth consecutive year, will be at the helm as the director of the ceremony.
