UDAIPUR, India, Nov 25: An extravagant Indian billionaire wedding featuring Jennifer Lopez, Donald Trump Jr., and a parade of Bollywood stars has captivated global attention, with a 15-foot palace-shaped cake and multimillion-dollar festivities fueling both awe and controversy.
Indian tech entrepreneur Vamsi Gadiraju married Netra Mantena, daughter of pharmaceutical magnate Rama Raju Mantena, in an opulent ceremony near Udaipur’s iconic Taj Lake Palace, the scenic backdrop used in the 1983 James Bond film Octopussy. The celebration, estimated by local media to cost nearly $6.7 million, drew international celebrities, political figures, and business elites.
Jennifer Lopez performed at the nuptials, appearing both as a guest and headliner. She delivered high-energy renditions of her chart-topping hits — including Waiting for Tonight and On the Floor — in a series of revealing stage outfits that drew widespread attention on social media. Before performing, Lopez was photographed with the bride and groom in an embellished saree accented with emerald jewelry.
The couple’s cake-cutting ceremony featured a towering 15-foot, palace-shaped white cake, sculpted with elephants, tigers, and cascading flowers. The elaborate confection was created by Paris-based luxury cake designer Bastien Blanc-Tailleu, whose work immediately went viral online.
Among the high-profile guests were Donald Trump Jr. and his partner, Bettina Anderson, who were seen smiling, dancing, and embracing throughout the festivities. MAGA insiders recently told Daily Mail that the couple may be headed toward marriage, describing Anderson as “classy” with “impeccable fashion sense,” and noting that former President Donald Trump “loves her.”
A-list Bollywood stars, including Ram Charan, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, Sophie Choudry, and Karan Johar also attended, with Udaipur’s luxury hotels filling up with notable international arrivals in the days before the wedding.
However, the wedding’s reported multimillion-dollar cost sparked criticism from some locals, who described the event as “sheer wastage of money,” according to Indian media reports.
Netra Mantena’s father, Rama Raju Mantena, is the billionaire CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, overseeing multinational healthcare ventures across India, Switzerland, and the United States.
The wedding has drawn comparisons to last year’s high-profile Ambani nuptials, where billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son married Radhika Merchant in a ceremony attended by the Kardashians, Bill Gates, and Boris Johnson.
Meanwhile, Lopez continues preparations for her upcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, running from late December through early 2026. Her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, premiered in October, and her skincare brand JLo Beauty recently won the Beauty Innovation Award for Eye Mask Product of the Year.
