Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad bin Salman receives (left to right) Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the King Abdulaziz International Airport on Tuesday.
JEDDAH, April 28: Representatives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, arrived in Jeddah on Tuesday to lead Kuwait’s delegation to the extraordinary GCC consultative summit. Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, His Highness was received by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, and Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region Al-Saud. Also present were Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud and Kuwait Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Sabah Nasser Al-Sabah. Leaders and heads of delegations from GCC member states also arrived in Jeddah to participate in the summit.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman welcomed Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani upon their arrival. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi also received the delegations. Later, His Highness the Crown Prince attended a luncheon hosted by the Saudi Crown Prince in honor of the participating leaders and senior officials. The GCC consultative summit, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, addressed key regional and international developments and explored ways to enhance coordination among member states.
SPA reported that Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended the session. Following the summit, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the efforts of GCC leaders in strengthening consultation and joint action. In a statement cited by SPA, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari said the remarks came after a Cabinet session chaired by the Crown Prince in Jeddah. (KUNA)
