KUWAIT CITY, Mar 30: Jazeera Airways on Monday operated its first flights to Pakistan via King Fahd International Airport, marking a key step in restoring air connectivity between Kuwait and Pakistan.

The inaugural flight departed from the airline’s temporary terminal at Kuwait International Fairgrounds (Hall 8), in the presence of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Dr. Zafar Iqbal, and the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer Paul Carroll, highlighting the importance of the route in reconnecting communities and strengthening bilateral ties.

The move comes as part of efforts to maintain essential passenger and cargo links following the temporary closure of Kuwait International Airport. Jazeera Airways has established an alternative travel corridor through Saudi Arabia, operating from both Qaisumah Airport and Dammam using a combined air and ground transport model.

Pakistan remains a key market for Kuwait, with strong economic and social ties and a large expatriate population. The resumed flights are expected to facilitate family reunions, workforce mobility, and the continuity of cargo and supply chains.

Flights to Islamabad are set to begin on April 3, followed by Karachi on April 7, bringing the airline’s total frequency to six weekly flights across three destinations.

Jazeera Airways currently serves a network of more than 25 destinations, operating over 1,000 flights and offering more than 200,000 seats, alongside significant cargo capacity to support passenger and freight movement during the ongoing operational challenges.
