KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Jazeera Airways has announced the resumption of full operations from Terminal 5 (T5) at Kuwait International Airport starting Sunday, with flights scheduled daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The airline’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, said the return to full operations follows a partial restart of direct flights last week and comes after a 57-day suspension of services at the airport. He said the move marks the completion of a phased operational shift, including a temporary base in Saudi Arabia.
With operations fully restored at Terminal 5, the airline will now run all flights directly from Kuwait, offering what it described as a smoother and more efficient travel experience. Jazeera Airways will operate services to 27 destinations across its network, reconnecting Kuwait to key regional and international markets.
Barathan Pasupathi thanked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Interior, and other government agencies for their support in facilitating the resumption of operations. He also acknowledged cooperation from Saudi Arabia during the temporary relocation period.
Passengers have been advised to arrive at the airline’s Park & Fly facility at least four hours before departure starting Sunday. From there, travelers will be transferred to Terminal 5 for check-in and boarding procedures.
The airline also highlighted its “Barakah Initiative,” launched during the airport closure, which maintained connectivity through a land-air corridor linking Qaisumah and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
During the disruption period, Jazeera Airways operated more than 1,500 flights, facilitated over 9,000 bus movements, and transported nearly 200,000 passengers, supported by over 500 employees and a fleet of 14 aircraft, according to company data.
