Mukai Kenichiro, Ambassador of Japan to Kuwait
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my sincerest congratulations to H.H. the Amir of the State of Kuwait, H.H. the Crown Prince, H.H. the Prime Minister, the government members, and the friendly people of Kuwait. This is my second Ramadan in Kuwait, and I have the privilege of experiencing firsthand the depth of the customs and traditions, which reflect the spirit of harmony and solidarity within Kuwaiti society. From the welcoming diwaniyas to the heartfelt Ramadan’s Ghabqa and the exchange of “Neqsa”, these practices embody core values of generosity, unity, and community.
Ramadan in Kuwait seamlessly blends spirituality with social connection, highlighting the nation’s rich cultural and religious heritage. Popular dishes like harees and jareesh, which adorn Iftar tables, add a special touch that reflects the authenticity of Kuwaiti cuisine. I also extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of National Day and Liberation Day, two occasions that reinforce the values of solidarity and unity that have always been the foundation of Kuwait’s stability.
I firmly believe that Kuwait’s rich history, marked by experiences and achievements, continues to pave the way toward an even brighter and more prosperous future. Wishing Kuwait continued progress and prosperity … Ramadan Mubarak.
