KUWAIT CITY, July 7: Kuwait’s Jaber Al-Ahmad Badminton Sports Complex hosted an All-Kuwait Badminton Championship for the year 2022 on the occasion of the World Badminton Day from July 4 to 6. The event was inaugurated by the Chairman of Asia Badminton Development Program, who is also a former champion in the sport, Wajid Ali Chaudhry.

A large number of boys and girls took part in the under 13 years contest. In the boys competition Kuwait’s famous badminton player Mohammad Salem faced Mohammad Jamal Majid. Jamal Majid won the final in straight sets beating Mohammad Salem in a nail-biting finish. The score was 20 - 21.

Chief guest of the tournament, Kuwait’s Badminton Federation Secretary Abdullah Salem distributed the medals and prizes among the players. Mohammad Jamal Majid Chaudhry won the game following the footsteps of his two uncles Wajid Ali Chowdhry and Abid Ali Chaudhry who have been both all Pakistan badminton champions. By Majid Ali Chaudhry
