Jalal Shammout and Nadia Al-Rawas reunite onscreen in ‘Transit’: A unique artistic journey

DAMASCUS, Syria, Oct 24, (Agencies): Syrian artist Jalal Shammout shared his personal experience with the series “Transit,” directed by Bassem Al-Sulka, which brought him together once again with his ex-wife, the artist Nadia Al-Rawas. This marked the first time they met artistically through this work, face to face, playing the roles of a husband and wife. Shammout stated, “Honestly, at the beginning of shooting the shared scenes, the idea was strange for us because we had separated after a marriage that lasted several years.”

Shammout added, “But as we continued with the scenes, it became simple, and in the end, we acted as professional actors.”

Nadia had previously appeared in an interview with the international host Hisham Haddad on his program “Al-Mazeh Nusaw Jad” on the “Alaan” satellite channel. During the interview, she spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband Jalal Shammout, and addressed the latest news and rumors about them. She mentioned that their separation was done in a civilized manner.
