KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: The official spokesperson for the Environment Public Authority (EPA) and the Director of its Public Relations Department Sheikha Al- Ibrahim says, “The reservations for the Jahra Reserve are full on weekends. The reservations continue on a daily basis throughout the week, and visitors who wish to tour the reserve without reservations are also received”, reports Al-Rai daily. In a press statement, Al-Ibrahim said, “There are two types of reservations for those wishing to enjoy nature within the Jahra Reserve. The first is the reservation of the observatory, and the second is the reservation of a tour throughout the reserve.”

It is worth highlighting that entry permits to the Jahra Reserve were recently added to the Sahel app, in addition to other services provided by the authority including a platform for booking picnic and fishing for individuals, and a service for paying customs data for companies.

The cost for visiting the Jahra Reserve is KD 10 for a group of five people or less. The visitor can choose three available observatories from where he can enjoy the views of the nature reserve. Recently, the reserve witnessed the cultivation of about 200 plants, with the participation of a number of ambassadors, diplomats and representatives of the United Nations, with the aim of enhancing joint environmental cooperation between international and local bodies.
