Jahra police nab 30 drifters, criminals

KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Jahra securitymen arrested 30 reckless drivers and five wanted individuals during a security campaign in Jahra Governorate. According to security sources, when Jahra Security Directorate received information about a group of reckless drivers performing stunts in some areas, Jahra Security Director Ali Madhi formed a security team to launch a campaign against the suspects.
During the campaign, they arrested 30 reckless drivers and five wanted individuals including a Bedoun youth against whom a judicial sentence of six-year imprisonment was issued. They also recovered three vehicles that were reported as stolen. The arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested at a security checkpoint on Salmi Road in possession of 13 bottles of liquor and for drunk driving.
