KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habshi hailed Kuwait Sports Day as a longstanding national occasion that highlights the leadership’s commitment to promoting sports and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle. He emphasized the key role of sports in improving the quality of life and fostering public health awareness across the community.
During a meeting with Faisal Al-Muqseed, Chairman of the Kuwait Sports for All Federation, and Vice Chairman Abdullah Al-Adwani, Governor Al-Habshi received an invitation to participate in this year’s celebrations on February 7th at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge, under the patronage of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
Al-Habshi praised the event as a successful example of collaboration between government institutions, sports authorities, and community organizations. He lauded the Public Authority for Sports and the Kuwait Sports for All Federation for their efforts in organizing the event, which promotes physical activity and encourages broad community engagement.
He also highlighted the governorate’s ongoing support for sports initiatives and programs targeting all age groups, noting that Kuwait Sports Day embodies national unity and reinforces positive values such as teamwork and cooperation.
Governor Al-Habshi urged residents of Jahra to participate actively in the celebrations and take advantage of the event’s diverse activities, which have significant benefits for both physical and mental health. He wished success to the organizers and affirmed the event’s role in achieving its important objectives.
