Jahra Food Inspectors Record 40 Violations, Close 5 Facilities

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition recorded 40 violations and closed five food facilities during inspection campaigns targeting warehouses and factories in Al Jahra Governorate.

The inspection campaigns were conducted by the Inspection Supervision Department in Al Jahra as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with approved food safety laws, regulations and health standards.

The violations included the display and sale of food products deemed unfit for human consumption. Authorities took the necessary legal measures against the violating facilities, including the closure of five establishments.

The Authority said it will continue conducting regular inspection campaigns across food facilities to ensure compliance with health requirements, strengthen food safety and protect consumer health.
