KUWAIT CITY, March 26: After a halt in the issuance of visas due to technical issues at Kuwait embassy in Sri Lanka for Sri Lankan domestic workers, the embassy has resumed visa services after rectifying the technical error that had affected its automated systems last week.

According to Bassam Al-Shammari, a specialist in domestic labor affairs, the relevant government agencies acted promptly upon hearing of the issue and resolved the problem swiftly, thereby enabling the resumption of new Sri Lankan domestic workers, particularly with the consent of local recruitment offices, reports Al Jarida. This development is crucial, given the ongoing decision of the Philippines to suspend its workers' deployment to the country.
