TEL AVIV, Jun 8: Israel’s military chief, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, vowed on Sunday that the Israeli military is prepared to launch a forceful response against Iran following the latest missile attacks on Israeli territory.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli military, Zamir made the remarks during a security assessment held after Iran fired missiles toward Israel. He said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are ready to act and would strike Iran “with force” once authorization is granted.
“The IDF will strike the enemy with force as soon as the green light is given,” Zamir said, underscoring Israel’s readiness for potential retaliatory action.
The comments come amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel following renewed missile exchanges and growing concerns over a wider regional escalation. Israeli officials have indicated that military and political leaders are assessing response options while maintaining a high level of operational readiness.
