TEL AVIV, Mar 30: Israel Police has reached an agreement with Pierbattista Pizzaballa to implement a coordinated framework for upcoming Easter celebrations, prioritizing public safety amid heightened tensions.

Authorities said key ceremonies, including the traditional “Holy Fire,” will be conducted in a limited and symbolic format due to the ongoing security situation linked to Operation “Roaring Lion.”

The decision follows recent incidents in which Iranian missiles and debris reportedly struck areas within the Old City of Jerusalem, raising concerns over the safety of worshippers.

Officials emphasized that the measures aim to balance the preservation of freedom of worship with the primary responsibility of safeguarding human life during a period of increased risk.
