DUBAI, Mar 25: Israel launched a wave of airstrikes on the Iranian capital Tehran on Wednesday, according to both Israeli military statements and Iranian media reports, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
The Israel Defense Forces said it targeted key infrastructure across Tehran, describing the operation as part of broader military actions against Iranian capabilities. Meanwhile, Iran’s semi-official SNN News Agency reported that at least some of the strikes hit a residential area, with emergency teams deployed to search through rubble for casualties and survivors.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it had launched missiles and drones targeting military bases hosting U.S. forces in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain, as well as strikes directed at targets inside Israel.
The developments underscore a widening confrontation that now spans multiple countries across the region, raising concerns over further escalation and the potential for broader conflict involving international forces.
