TEHRAN / TEL AVIV (AP), Mar 28: Witnesses said the strikes were almost continuous for two hours. The Israeli military said it had completed a “wave of strikes” across Tehran, targeting government infrastructure.

Earlier, Israel’s military said it had struck more than 1,000 sites linked to weapons production in Iran, as part of its ongoing campaign to degrade the country’s military capabilities.

Military spokesperson Effie Defrin said the strikes have significantly weakened Iran’s ability to sustain operations, adding that “the majority of their military abilities” would take considerable time to rebuild. He also noted that Iran has been unable to launch large-scale missile barrages as initially planned, with fewer missiles being fired.

Defrin said Israeli forces on Friday targeted two major facilities tied to Iran’s nuclear program, including a uranium processing site and a heavy water plant. Iranian authorities have acknowledged the attacks.

According to Iranian state media, at least one person was killed and 15 others injured in a separate strike on a steel production facility in Isfahan.
