Israel Defense Forces Apologizes After Incident, Reinstalls Statue in Southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Apr 21: The Israel Defense Forces said it has replaced a damaged statue in the town of Debel in coordination with local residents, following an earlier incident that drew concern from the community.

According to a statement, troops carried out the replacement “a short while ago” in full coordination with the town’s local leadership, after the military’s Northern Command began working on the issue immediately upon receiving reports of the damage.

The military expressed “deep regret” over the incident and said efforts are underway to ensure similar occurrences do not happen again.
