KUWAIT CITY, July 24: Police are looking for an unidentified thief driving a Japanese car for stealing KD 1,500 from a 42-year-old Iraqi woman, reports Al-Rai daily.

In her complaint to the Ahmadi Police Station, she said the suspect blocked her way near the water towers and pulled out a knife, put it to her neck and forced her to hand over the money (KD 1,500 in her bag which she had withdrawn from her bank account just hours before the incident) and drove off.

According to Al-Anba daily the incident happened in the Sabah Al- Ahmad area. The victim told police the suspect was driving a silver color vehicle and she provided the car plate number. Personnel from the Jahra Research and Investigation Department inspected one of the residential areas where the theft occurred, specifically opposite the towers for the possibility of a camera that could have documented the incident.
