KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: Capital Support Patrols arrested an Iraqi national, born in 1994, after he allegedly impersonated a Criminal Investigation officer during a security patrol in Kuwait’s Free Zone.
According to the security authorities, patrol officers became suspicious of the man’s vehicle while conducting routine security operations in the area. When officers attempted to check the vehicle, the suspect allegedly tried to flee, prompting the patrol to pursue and apprehend him.
A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered several items allegedly linked to the impersonation, including a “Flesher,” a Ministry of Interior “Sudairi,” a wireless communication device and handcuffs.
The authorities said the suspect and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
The case remains subject to the legal procedures and investigations by the relevant authorities.
