RBIL, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- Iraqi warplanes killed at least 116 so-called Islamic State's (IS) militants in airstrikes on Mosul, and an army commander said the terrorist group was eradicated militarily, the war media department said Tuesday. The fighter jets, acting upon intelligence, bombarded IS positions inside Mosul killing at least 116 militants and military equipment, the department added in a statement. Commander of the Nineveh Operations Major-General Najem Al-Juburi said Mosul has fallen militarily. "IS has finished militarily in Mosul," he said in a brief statement. The offensive to liberate Mosul has entered its 16th day.
