Iraq to take back its citizens who fought for ISIS in Syria

BAGHDAD: Iraq will only take back its own citizens and their families who fought with the Islamic State group in Syria, not those from other countries, Iraq’s foreign minister said Thursday.

Mohammed Ali al-Hakim said the home countries of other former IS members and their families should take the necessary measures, signaling that Baghdad will not accept those who came from around the world to Iraq and Syria to join the extremist group. (AP)
