Iraq Condemns Missile and Drone Attack on Kuwait

BAGHDAD, May 29: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq has strongly condemned the targeting of Kuwait with missiles and drones, expressing rejection of any actions that threaten the security and stability of countries in the region.

In a press release, the ministry said it “expresses its condemnation of the targeting of the sisterly State of Kuwait with missiles and drones,” stressing Iraq’s opposition to all forms of escalation that could endanger regional peace.

The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq emphasized the importance of restraint and avoiding further escalation, warning that such actions could heighten tensions and undermine regional stability.

Iraq called for prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve ongoing crises, adding that peaceful solutions remain essential to safeguarding the security of the region’s populations.

The ministry also reaffirmed Baghdad’s support for regional and international efforts aimed at preventing further violence and promoting stability.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following reports of missile and drone activity targeting Kuwait, prompting calls for calm and diplomatic engagement from several regional actors.
