BAGHDAD, Sept 19: The Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety in Iraq decided today, to prevent foreign visitors from entering the country, as part of preventive measures against the (Corona emerging - Covid 19) virus.

The move will prevent the entry of millions, who each year visit the country to perform the 40-day Arbaeen Pilgrimage, which is due in a few days' time, state news agency INA quoted a government committee as saying

According to the official agency, the committee also decided to open mosques in the country while adhering to preventive measures and physical distancing, as well as opening parks and playgrounds with the same precautionary measures.
Iraq receives millions of visitors every year which is the largest religious visit in the country.
