Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Recovering from Severe Disfiguring Injuries, Remains Active in Decision-Making

TEHRAN, April 10: Mojtaba Khamenei is reportedly recovering from serious injuries sustained in an airstrike earlier in the conflict that killed his father, according to sources close to his inner circle cited by Reuters.

The sources said Khamenei suffered severe facial and leg injuries during the strike on the leadership compound in central Tehran, with one account describing his face as disfigured. Despite the severity of the injuries, the 56-year-old leader is said to be recovering and remains mentally sharp.

According to the report, Khamenei has continued to participate in high-level governance, joining meetings with senior officials via audio conferencing and playing an active role in key decisions related to the ongoing war and negotiations with the United States.

Sources indicated that his condition and exact whereabouts have not been publicly disclosed, reflecting the sensitivity surrounding the leadership during the ongoing conflict. However, insiders maintain that he remains engaged in strategic decision-making despite his physical condition.

The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing diplomatic efforts and military activity continuing to shape the course of the conflict.
