Iran’s ‘Sinful Attacks’ Get a Place in Kuwait’s School History Books

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has documented the 2026 Iranian attacks on the country in the Grade 10 history curriculum, dedicating pages 56 and 57 of the textbook to a lesson titled “The Sinful Iranian Attacks on the State of Kuwait.”

The lesson details attacks involving missiles and drones that targeted vital and government facilities, residential areas, power generation and water desalination plants, Kuwait International Airport, the Social Security Institution building and the Ministries Complex. It also highlights Kuwait’s rejection of the attacks, its assertion of the right to defend its territory, and its continued diplomatic efforts to promote regional security and stability.

The textbook highlights the leadership of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during the crisis, particularly his role in guiding state institutions and strengthening their preparedness. It also records Kuwait’s position that it was not a party to the conflict between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other, while stressing that Kuwait would not allow its land, airspace or territorial waters to be used to attack any country.

The lesson concludes that the crisis demonstrated the importance of national unity, solidarity between the leadership and the people, and the readiness of state institutions to safeguard Kuwait’s security and sovereignty. It also emphasizes Kuwait’s continued call for dialogue, de-escalation and respect for international law.
