ZURICH/TOKYO/MELBOURNE, May 10: Iranians living abroad staged coordinated demonstrations across multiple cities over the weekend, protesting against the Islamic Republic, according to videos received by Iran International.
In Zurich, Switzerland, Iranian protesters gathered on Saturday chanting slogans against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which they described as a “terrorist organization,” while also calling for an end to executions in Iran.
In Tokyo, Japan, Iranian expatriates rallied on Sunday following a call by exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. Demonstrators protested reported executions in Iran and raised concerns over internet shutdowns in the country.
Meanwhile in Melbourne, Australia, large crowds of Iranian demonstrators took part in an anti-government rally on Sunday, with some chanting “Long live the king,” reflecting support for monarchist opposition figures.
The protests highlight growing activism among Iranian diaspora communities amid ongoing political tensions and domestic unrest in Iran.
