Iranian Women Footballers Leave Malaysia Following Asylum Withdrawals

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 16: Amid the ongoing tensions linked to the Iran–Israel conflict, normal activities continue in the sporting world as the Iran women's national football team prepared to depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday on a flight bound for Oman. A senior Asian football official confirmed the team’s departure after more players withdrew their asylum requests in Australia. AFP correspondents reported that the squad arrived at the airport shortly before 5:00 pm local time, dressed in their national colours and disembarking from a tour bus before proceeding to the check-in counters.
