Iranian Regime Warns U.S. Bases Could Be Targeted in Case of Israeli Attack

TEHRAN, Jun 7: A senior Iranian source has warned that all U.S. military bases in the region would be considered legitimate targets if Israel carries out further attacks, according to a Reuters report.

The warning comes amid escalating regional tensions, with Iran signalling that any additional Israeli escalation could trigger wider retaliation. The source did not provide further details but suggested that U.S. assets would be included in Tehran’s response framework in the event of an Israeli strike.

Separately, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters issued a statement carried by state broadcaster IRIB, warning of a stronger response if Israel expands its military operations in Lebanon, particularly in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh and southern Lebanon.

The statement said Iran had previously warned that it would strike targets in what it called the “occupied territories” if attacks in Dahiyeh escalated. It added that Israel would face “more forceful and regret-inducing blows” should it broaden its operations or respond to Iranian actions.

The comments highlight rising regional tensions as rhetoric intensifies alongside ongoing military exchanges involving Iran, Israel, and allied forces across multiple fronts.
