Iranian Regime Warns US Against Advancing in Hormuz, Issues Stark Threat to UAE

TEHRAN, May 4: Iran has issued a series of stark warnings targeting both the United States and the United Arab Emirates, signaling heightened tensions in the Gulf region.

According to Hezbollah-affiliated broadcaster Al-Mayadeen, a senior Iranian source warned that US forces would be targeted if they advance into the Strait of Hormuz. The source emphasized that the strategic waterway is “entirely under Iranian control,” describing the message from Tehran’s armed forces as “very clear.”

“The message to the American aggressors is: Advance, and you will be targeted,” the source said, underscoring Iran’s readiness to respond to any perceived escalation.

In a separate development, Iran also issued strong warnings toward the UAE. The IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency cited a military source cautioning that any “unwise” move by Abu Dhabi—particularly if aligned with Israel—would prompt sweeping Iranian retaliation.

“If the UAE becomes a plaything of Israel and makes a wrong move, it will learn a lesson it will never forget,” the source said. The warning added that all Emirati interests could become targets, with “no part of its facilities” considered safe in the event of escalation.

The Iranian source further described the UAE as being in a vulnerable position, stating that “insecurity is absolute poison” for the country and warning against repeating past confrontations.

While no official response has been reported from either Washington or Abu Dhabi, the statements reflect rising rhetorical tensions in a region critical to global energy flows and security.
