TEHRAN, April 2 (KUNA) -- Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani has tested positive for coronavirus and is placed in quarantine, the house said Thursday.
Medical examination showed that Larijani was infected with the virus and therefore the speaker started treatment in quarantine, official Iranian news agency quoted a parliament's statement as saying.
Iranian health said earlier number of infections rose to 50,468, including 3,160 deaths.
