TEL AVIV, Mar 22: Missiles launched by Iran struck the southern Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad, causing injuries to over 100 people, including children. Israeli air defence systems were active but reportedly failed to intercept the attacks.
Israel Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes, calling them a deliberate attack on civilians, labeling it “a blatant war crime” and “pure terrorism.”
In contrast, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards stated that the missiles targeted “military installations” and security centres in southern Israel. The strikes hit areas near Israel’s secretive nuclear reactor, located about 13 km southeast of Dimona, as well as multiple nearby military sites, including Nevatim Air Base, one of the country’s largest.
