TEL AVIV, (AP) March 24: A missile strike believed to have originated from Iran caused significant damage to central Tel Aviv on Tuesday, Israeli authorities confirmed.

Superintendent Fadida Yaniv, part of the police unit investigating explosions, said the warhead carried approximately 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of explosives, damaging homes and vehicles on a residential street. No serious injuries were reported.

Tel Aviv’s mayor described the incident as a “direct strike,” noting that Israeli first responders treated four people for light injuries. The attack tore open the facade of a three-storey building in an upscale northern neighborhood, scattering debris across the street.

Israeli media, including military radio, reported that police believe the strike involved a cluster munition missile equipped with three to four warheads, each carrying roughly 100 kilograms of explosives.

Authorities continue to investigate, while residents remain on alert amid ongoing regional tensions.
