TEHRAN, April 25: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to return to Islamabad after a visit to Oman and ahead of a planned trip to Russia, Iran’s state-run IRNA reported.

According to IRNA, Araghchi arrived in Muscat on Saturday evening following meetings with Pakistani officials, where he conveyed Tehran’s position on the terms of any potential understanding aimed at ending the war and establishing peace.

The report said part of the Iranian delegation that accompanied him to Islamabad has already returned to Tehran for consultations and to receive further instructions on issues related to the conflict.

Delegation members are expected to rejoin Araghchi in Islamabad on Sunday night as diplomatic consultations continue, the agency added.
