Iranian Drone Strike Damages DU Telecom Building in Fujairah

FUJAIRAH, Apr 6: A drone attack attributed to Iran struck a telecommunications facility in Fujairah on Monday, causing damage to the building, according to the state-run Emirates News Agency.  Authorities in Fujairah are currently responding to an incident involving a reported Iranian drone strike on a du facility in the emirate.

The report said the targeted site belonged to du, a state-backed telecom operator in the United Arab Emirates.

Officials in Fujairah confirmed that while the building sustained damage, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of the damage or whether services were disrupted. The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing aerial threats across parts of the Gulf.
