TEHRAN (AP), April 21: A senior commander in Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that the Middle East’s oil industry could be at risk if hostilities with the United States resume.

Gen. Majid Mousavi, head of the IRGC’s aerospace division, said in remarks carried by Iranian media that any “aggression” against Iran would trigger a wider regional response, including potential damage to oil infrastructure.

He cautioned neighboring countries against allowing U.S. forces to use their territory for attacks on Iran, warning that such cooperation could have severe consequences for energy production across the region.

“If southern neighbors allow the enemy to use their facilities to attack Iran, they should say goodbye to oil production in the Middle East,” Mousavi said.

The United States maintains military bases and personnel in several countries across the region, a factor that has long fueled tensions between Washington and Tehran.
